Apple plans to redesign upcoming iPhone SE versions

Apple plans to redesign the next-generation iPhone SE, according to a report published by MacRumors citing sources from the company.

According to reports, the new design will abandon the traditional shape similar to the iPhone 8 and adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14.

According to leaked specs, the iPhone SE 4 will rely on the iPhone 14’s improved architecture, with a flat design and similar dimensions, as well as increased front-facing screen area.

The phone will also give up the home button and fingerprint recognition function.

Apple also aims to shrink the edges of the screen, add a notch to the screen, and equip the phone with Face ID.

If these leaks are confirmed, the new design would be a major change to the iPhone SE range since its launch in 2016.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and other reports suggest another button similar to the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro phones may be added.

In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be launched in 2025. Although there is no information about the price yet, sources say that the current price of the iPhone SE phone starts at $430
